"How much does one imagine, how much observe? One can no more separate those functions than divide light from air, or wetness from water."
— Elspeth Huxley
Ever since I can remember, I have always had an intense interest in the natural world and a strong desire to document it through artistic mediums. By collecting my memories in this manner, I often find that the memory of the moment is far more sublime than the moment itself.
Accepting the somewhat organized chaos of the natural world, I wait and watch, sometimes for hours on end, for the world around me to reveal itself. I embrace the stillness, making note of the everyday mundane and allowing it to be magical in its own right. It is within these moments that I am able to fully appreciate the physical and spiritual relationship between elements of the earth and the earth itself.
